Patience Grasshopper

The last box is unpacked... and now there are so many things to do! Lots of good things are happening behind the scenes as I'm starting to set up new events, teaching opportunities, and collaborations with incredible makers. I can't wait to share it all with you.

In the meantime however, I am currently sans laptop which puts a kink in my designing. Thankfully paper and pen still exists!
However, my Etsy Shop is fully stocked and open once again!
Please hang in there with me!

MOVE IT - Less is More

I'm packing up and cleaning house! So for TODAY 6/13 and TOMORROW 6/14 only you can save BIG so I can move less across the country. I'd call that a win win. Just use the coupon code MOVEIT to save 50% in both the Mastering the Art of Being Me shop and at Eva Blake's Makery. What a steal!

All items will be shipped on Monday June 16th, patterns are PDF instant downloads.

The shop will be closed for a week or so while we travel and settle in.

Jam Packed. Literally.

Hello June.

Our really long school year is winding up (thanks to 8 snow days!) and things around here are getting REALLY exciting! I'll be headed out to ALT Summit Summer in Salt Lake City in a few weeks to mingle with other creative bloggers and makers. I can't wait to meet up with people and share fancy dreams of growing our businesses.

And speaking of adventures Eva Blake's Makery is moving (as is my family) across the country to Arizona. As sad as we are to leave the beautiful friends and trees of New Hampshire it will be wonderful to meet new people and enjoy the sage green and sunshine of the desert. While I work on settling in and setting up shop, you can still shop via the Eva Blake Etsy shop, although shipping will be delayed June 26 -July 8.

Wonder No More!

In case you've been dying to know what I've been up to over here… wonder no more!

1. I broke my camera & promptly bought a new one to replace it. Good ol' Nikon.
2. The studio is slowly being cleaned up.
3. The shop has SOLD OUT of a few things! Wow! Thank you!
4. There will be many new items posted soon.
(Or at least as soon as I get the new camera figured out and some sunny days to shoot in)
5. Lots of thoughts and prayers for those who are dealing with serious flooding from this weeks rain.

At this time we do not have any public crafting events scheduled. Don't worry, you'll be the first to know if we do host one locally! However you can always host a party of your own with one of our Baker's Dozen Party Packs in the meantime.

NH Chronicle & Eva Blake

Our spot on WMUR's NH Chronicle aired this past Wednesday. It was terrifically well done and was fun to watch! If you missed it, you can watch it again here. We decorated a beautiful nook at the Colony Mill in Keene.

Thanks to my friend Becky for helping me pull it all off! Mary-Paige Provost the producer of NH Chronicle and Doug for his footage and lighting making us look good! Thank you Aimee for taking the photos, Jenna, Jamie, Molly, Cheryl, Niki, Heather, for coming to create with us and everyone who has been so supportive of our adventure!

Baker's Dozen Party Packs are Here

Thank you for all of those who were able to come to the taping of WMUR's NH Chronicle a few weeks ago. It was exciting day and the cameraman and producer were so sincere. It was wonderful. I haven't seen my studio that clean or been so at ease in a while. We rented a beautiful space at Colony Mill in downtown Keene, NH. I can't wait to share more about it next week. It's set to air the first week of March, but I haven't official details yet. Coming soon!

In the midst of 3 snow days and a small cold I am excited to announce that...

The Baker's Dozen Party Packs I've been talking about. Now you can purchase a box full of Makery Kit goodness for a crowd. Everything you need, supplies, materials, fully illustrated recipe instructions, and surprise bonus goodies are ready to go to host a craft party of your own. You can even download invitations! These are LIMITED EDITIONS and won't be offered again, so get them while you can.

This is a great way to dabble in a craft and hang out with friends without a lot of expense or commitment long term.

Don't forget to sign up for the newsletter so you can be one of the first to know about upcoming events and product releases. There are also some pretty sweet discounts and printables available only through the newsletter too.

(HINT we will be having a serious Spring Cleaning SALE coming in March!)

Quilt For A Cause Design Competition

I made this quilt for my mom. It was the first quilt I've ever made with bras on it. As I was working on this it made me think about the cause that my mom works so hard toward through her charity Ranger Lady, Inc.  You can watch an incredible video about her story here.

Ranger Lady, Inc. is a non-profit devoted to serving forgotten, elderly or mentally ill residents in facilities. This organization helps provide personal dignity items, such as new white socks, underwear for men and women and bras to those residents without family.

In an effort to help Ranger Lady, Inc. continue to provide these much needed items my company Eva Blake’s Makery is proud to announce

Quilt for a Cause Design Contest. Submit your design for a wheelchair quilt using the guidelines below. 3 Winners will be chosen; one from each category/theme. If chosen, your quilt will be produced as a downloadable pattern. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these quilt patterns will go to Ranger Lady, Inc. Designers and buyers of the quilt patterns will be sent a quilt label like the image above,  and encouraged to make their quilts and donate them to a local health care facility of their choice or ship directly to Ranger Lady, Inc for placement in a facility in their network.

Download the complete entry and submission guidelines and click here.

Also please help spread the word by linking to this post through all your social media and the Quilt for a Cause badge on the right.

Quilters have the biggest hearts, and we can't wait to see your designs and help us share the love.

Many Thanks!

If you have any questions you can send them to rangerladyquilt {at} gmail.com
